After struggling with a career decision that started when Stephen was 6, he switched from a childhood desire to pursue astrophysics to medicine to business before finally settling with advertising/public relations in the fall of 1996 at the suggestion of Dr. Kina S. Mallard. Not only was Stephen Phillips involved with Public Relations in the Union University Communication Arts department, he delved into the other areas of the department including journalism and theatre. However, Stephen held
a special place in his heart for the broadcasting program. He served
as weather correspondent for the Jackson Tonight! weekly news
magazine program, in addition to duties as production designer and
videographer/editor/producer. |
